Responding to recent customer driven requirements bio degradable materials are now available across our range subject to minimum runs depending on volume / order quantity.
Our bio degradable products consist of pro-degradant additive masterbatches. These products are designed to cause conventional polyolefins to degrade and disintegrate whilst having minimal effect on initial polymer properties and processing conditions. The additive is primarily intended for use in polyethylene film where the degradation properties give a functional benefit in the finished article. Such applications may include mulch film, rubbish bags, mailers, envelopes and disposable packaging etc. The recommended shelf life for these products is on average 6 months.
Formulations have European food contact approval and, if colour is required, can be used in conjunction with our range of approved standard colour master batches for film.
